The Canandaigua Lake Swim is a 1 mile fun swim (not a race!) across Canandaigua Lake to raise money for Ontario-Yates Hospice. Swimmers are transported from the shore of Onanda Park across the lake by pontoon boats and then swim back to the park escorted by designated paddlers. All then celebrate their successful swim with breakfast at Onanda Park.
Ontario-Yates Hospice is a program of the Finger Lakes Visiting Nurse Service. It provides care and support to terminally ill patients (and their families) who have decided not to pursue curative treatment for a life-limiting illness. For more information about Ontario-Yates Hospice, visit their website at www.flvns.org/pages/hospicecare/ or call 1-800-253-4439
